Day 1

A momentary lapse of judgement. Especially before Christmas. That's the only reason I can come up with as to "why" I would voluntarily choose to take part in this competition. Actually, I'd have to say the others are more dumb than I as they let me talk them into it!

I used to joke that people would call me thin because I hung around others who were a lot bigger than me. That's no longer the case as I'm the one making others look skinny.

Seriously, I know I have some issues that, if resolved, would make me feel a lot better. I'll wait to set my goals but losing a few pounds, taking a few more walks and a healthier diet would benefit anyone.

Over the next three months the four of us will be competing on who can most closely meet their goals. I'm up against the wiley veteran (Buzz), Mr. Ho Ho Ho (Rick), and the youngest and skinniest of us all (Joel).

To my competitors I wish you "Good Luck". I hope you'll return the favor. I'm going to need it.
