Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Cardiac Rehab Unit
Emergencies know no time of day.
In the LRH Emergency Department, nurses and physicians specially trained to react quickly to emergencies are on duty 24 hours a day, ready to use their skills and an array of high-tech equipment to help patients in crisis. In addition to trauma and life support training, Emergency Department staff has training in basic cardiology and advanced cardiac life support.
In the Intensive Care Unit, current technology including remote monitoring of specialized measurements such as oxygen saturation and arterial pressures, lets the physicians and nurses spend quality time with patients and raises the level of care.
From the Emergency Department through Rehab, caregivers focus on the wide-ranging, individual needs of their patients.
That personal touch extends to the process of helping patients recover from heart problems in the Cardiac Rehab Unit. Physicians design individual
rehabilitation programs to strengthen patients' heart endurance, provide education leading to healthier living and help patients and their families deal with the emotional aftermath
of heart disease.
