Nursing Staff on Medical and Surgical Floors
The nursing staff is at the forefront of Lake Region Hospital's services to its patients.
Whether it is helping to guide a new life into the world, providing comfort and care to a bleeding child, offering guidance and support for a troubled teenager, extending the gift of presence for those who are alone, assisting in a highly technical procedure or ushering people into eternity, Lake Region's highly trained and experienced nursing staff are there.
Like much of health care, technology has changed the way nurses practice their profession. They use
computers to develop care plans for
each patient. They monitor cardiac patients around-the-clock with
remote telemetry.
Nursing has become much more intensive as patients today require more care and their hospital stays become shorter.
Though technology and medical care may have changed over the years, the care that nurses provide patients is still based on providing that special one-on-one care.
The combination of technology and individual care has allowed Lake Region Hospital nurses to continue to provide quality care in a caring manner to each individual they serve.
