Our History

The Barnesville Area Clinic is a full-service outreach facility that joined Lake Region Healthcare in 2014. When the Barnesville Area Clinic was established by community leaders in the late 1970s, it was to ensure the community had hometown access to a quality, robust primary care clinic. Owen Thompson, MD, purchased the clinic in 1992 and in 2014 chose to join LRH to ensure that this mission continues to be met.
