Hospital ranked for top performance in quality, outcomes and cost measures
Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) was recently named one of the 2017 Top 100 Rural & Community Hospitals in the U.S. according to the National Rural Health Association's Rural Health Policy Institute, iVantage Health Analytics and The Chartis Center for Rural Health.
The hospitals that are named to this list are top performers in managing risk, achieving higher quality, securing better outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction and operating at a lower cost than their peers, according to the report.
"We are blessed with outstanding physicians and staff. This recognition is a reflection of the hard work and dedication to excellence of our entire staff in all aspects of patient care. Putting our patients at the center, going the extra mile, and ensuring high quality makes a tremendous difference in the lives of our patients, their families, and our community," said LRH CEO Larry Schulz. "We have been working very hard throughout our organization at implementing best practices toward achieving the triple aim of improving the health of the population, improving the care experience, and lowering the cost of care and it's nice to see those efforts paying off," he said.
The other Minnesota Hospitals named to the list were District One Hospital (Faribault), Mayo Clinic Health System – Albert Lea, and Winona Health Services in Winona. The full listing can be found online.
