LRH Welcomes Dr. Jim Garrity, Ophthalmologist and Dr. Kristina England, Family Medicine to Fergus Falls Clinic

[Fergus Falls, MN] Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) is pleased to announce two additions to the provider team contracted through Lake Region Medical Group (LRMG) recently. "These new providers are important to continuing our partnership to achieve the shared mission of partnering to enrich life through health and our ongoing commitment to provide excellent, accessible primary and specialty care to the region," said LRH CEO Kent Mattson. A short introduction to each of these newest providers is included here:
Dr. Kristina England is family medicine physician located on the 3rd floor primary care area in the Fergus Falls main clinic. She offers a broad range of medical care to all ages including managing acute and chronic health care problems, providing preventative care and performing minor procedures.
Dr. England received her medical degree at the University of South Dakota School of Medicine and holds her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota, Morris. Her residency was completed at Siouxland Medical Education Foundation in Sioux City, IA and her previous work experience includes 11 years at Affiliated Community Medical Center in Willmar, MN and serving the past four years at Essentia Health in Wahpeton, ND.
She is a member of the Minnesota and American Academies of Family Practice and the Christian Medical and Dental Association.
In her free time, she enjoys running, spending time with family and attending her children’s events, reading, church activities and travel.
Dr. Jim Garrity has over 30 years of experience at Mayo Clinic in Rochester and is excited to be serving in Fergus Falls now that he has moved to his lake home full time. Dr. Garrity earned his medical degree at the University of Minnesota and completed his ophthalmology residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine. He also completed a Neuro-ophthalmology & orbital surgery fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Allegheny General Hospital. Garrity serves as a Professor of Ophthalmology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, MN and has served as a Consultant to the Department of Ophthalmology, Mayo Clinic since 1986.
He is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
In his spare time he enjoys playing with his grandchildren, running and spending time with family at the lake.
