LRH Welcomes Dr. Joseph Dinsmore to ER, Back Home

Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) is pleased to welcome Dr. Joseph Dinsmore, to our medical staff in the Emergency department.

Dr. Dinsmore received his Doctor of Medicine at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences and completed the Emergency Medicine Residency Program at the University of Connecticut in Hartford with training at Hartford Hospital, Connecticut Children's Medical Center, John Dempsey Hospital and Saint Francis Hospital. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Political Science from Concordia College.

Dinsmore also has military experience as a United States Army Medic with the Minnesota Army National Guard and was deployed as a medic in Operation Iraqi Freedom where he rendered medical treatment to wounded and ill U.S. soldiers, Iraqi civilians and enemy combatants while conducting combat operations near Fallujah, Iraq. He continues to serve as a Medical Corps Officer in the Minnesota Army National Guard after doing the same in the Connecticut Army National Guard throughout his residency training.

Dr. Dinsmore is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Emergency Medicine Residents' Association and the Connecticut College of Emergency Physicians. He was raised in Fergus Falls and is married to a fellow Fergus Falls native. "I'm excited to return home to serve and provide medical care to the community that raised me," Dinsmore said. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, running, and spending summer days at the lake.
