(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) was treated to a visit by President Theodore Roosevelt (Joe Weigand) during a visit to Fergus Falls for the Fergus Falls Noon Rotary’s 100th anniversary celebration. While in town, Laurel Nelson (a member of the LRH Board of Trustees) arranged for the President to visit the Same Day Surgery Center and drop off a donation of over 30 "Teddy" bears to comfort the littlest surgery patients at LRH.
Weigland is the world's premiere Theodore Roosevelt reprisor. As an actor and historian, Joe's portrayals of Theodore Roosevelt in live performances have people wondering if Teddy Roosevelt has come back to life. Weigland also works for the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation and his performance tour is highlighted in summer by a daily matinee in Medora, gateway to Theodore Roosevelt National Park and the future home of Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library.
