“Women and Cancer” Topic of Lunch & Learn at Cancer Center

(FERGUS FALLS, Minn.) – Dr. Brett Larson, Women’s Health, and Dr. Nicole Welle, Psychiatry, will be the featured speakers at a “Women and Cancer” lunch & learn at the Lake Region Healthcare Cancer Care & Research Center on September 27th.

“We encourage any woman with a cancer diagnosis to join us for this unique opportunity to learn more about the physical and emotional aspects of the disease,” said Cancer Center Director Jamie Nordick. “We want to provide patients with more knowledge and information. We know this is an important way for them to feel engaged and empowered throughout their treatment and beyond,” she said.

The event will be held at the cancer center’s conference room located at 908 South Cascade St. in Fergus Falls. Lunch will be served at 11:30 followed by Dr. Larson’s presentation “Your Body and Cancer” and Dr. Welle speaking on “Surviving Cancer Emotionally.” Space is limited and RSVP’s can be made by calling 218.736.8688.
