Biography
Lake Region Medical Group welcomed Jana Sundeen, DNP to our Fergus Falls and Ashby clinics in January of 2023. As a primary care provider she provides care and treatment in our family practice setting for patients of all ages. She offers hours at the Fergus Falls Clinic, the Ashby Clinic, and through virtual visits.
She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree from North Dakota State University. With over 11 years of experience in primary and urgent care, Jana most recently has served as an NP at Essentia Health. Prior to earning her nurse practitioner certification, she served as an RN at various locations in the specialties of general medicine, pregnancy and lactation counseling, and oncology & palliative care. She is also a Chemotherapy Certified Nurse.
Jana is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and she earned the Professional Research Consultants (PRC) Excellence in Healthcare Top Performer Award in 2022 and the PRC Excellence in Healthcare 4-Star Award in 2020.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. She likes to take on home improvement projects (always larger and harder than anticipated). Most recently, she and her family started converting an old school bus into an RV. She loves attending her children’s extracurricular activities, playing games, and spending time with friends and extended family. She also enjoys singing and playing the piano and trumpet when she has a chance.
