Lake Region Healthcare (LRH) welcomed Matthew Hintz, Certified Physician Assistant, to our team of providers in the Emergency Department in 2019.

Matthew received his Master of Medical Science, Physician Assistant Studies degree from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA and his undergraduate degree in Allied Health studies from Winona State University.

His professional experience includes serving as an Emergency Room Technician at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton, WI and as a Clinical Technician at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah, WI. He has also worked as caregiver at Heartwood Homes Senior Living and as a Community Living Assistant to individuals on the Autism Spectrum Disorder at Aurora Community Services, both in Wisconsin. His clinical rotations have also included a wide range of specialties including Pulmonology, Cardiac Surgery, Women’s Health, Pediatrics, General Surgery, Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and Family Medicine.

Matthew holds certifications including the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and SCOPE of Pain: Safe and Competent Opioid Prescribing and Education from the Boston University School of Medicine. He is a student member of the Society of Pediatric Physician Assistants, Society of Emergency Medicine Physician Assistants and American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Outside of work he enjoys challenging himself at the gym, cooking, exploring the national parks, and spending time with his fiancé Ann.
