Biography
Dr. Steven Thom joined the Lake Region Healthcare Medical Staff in 2008.
A native of Fergus Falls, Dr. Thom graduated from Augsburg College in Minneapolis. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his internship at the Hennepin County Medical Center and his residency at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
After a brief period at the North Dakota Eye Clinic in Grand Forks, he began practicing in 1998 at the MeritCare Medical Center in Fargo.
Dr. Thom is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Ophthalmology, North Dakota Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, North Dakota Medical Association, and Minnesota Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also an Associate Clinical Professor of Surgery at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine.
Dr. Thom and his wife, Tara, have three children.
