When seconds count, we have two emergency department locations and expert staff ready to react quickly and provide the highest quality of care.
Fergus Falls Emergency Department
- Designated as a level 3 trauma center by the Minnesota State Trauma System.
- Continuous surgery coverage, continuous orthopedics coverage, anesthesia services, a 24-hour operating room and a blood bank.
- All ED and Intensive Care Unit nurses have completed specific trauma education.
- All ED physicians are up-to-date with specific trauma education.
- All surgeons have completed specific trauma education.
Elbow Lake Medical Center Emergency Department
- Designated as a level 4 trauma center by the Minnesota State Trauma System.
- All ED staff have completed specific trauma education.
- All ED physicians are up-to-date with specific trauma education.
Our team works diligently to ensure patients receive the lifesaving medical care they need. In addition to trauma and life support training, ED staff members have training in basic cardiology and advanced cardiac life support.
To be able to more quickly serve our surrounding area in case of emergency, both the Fergus Falls and Elbow Lake locations have invested in a helipad for flight services to ensure we are able to get our patients in the best hands as quickly as possible.
