Drug and alcohol testing services

Our experienced lab clinicians provide both workplace drug screenings and breath alcohol testing for employers for pre-employment, post-accident, random checks, return to duty, follow-up and reasonable suspicion.

Our collectors have achieved the certified professional collector and certified professional collector trainer designations through the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) Collector Certification Program. This rigorous certification program requires experience in performing specimen collections, training of collection personnel to become proficient in urine specimen collections for drug testing in the workplace, as well as a comprehensive examination to test the proficiency level of the individual collector. By employing certified professional collectors and a certified professional collector trainer, Lake Region Healthcare can assure its clients that specimen collections are performed in a professional and consistent manner, maintaining confidentiality for the donor and security, integrity and control of the specimen.

Alcovisor Jupiter breath tester

Our breath alcohol testing instrument is top of the line and approved by the Department of Transportation. The Alcovisor Jupiter is the first touch-screen, evidential grade instrument on the U.S. market. The Jupiter, capable of storing 20,000 test records, has an on-board printer and an eject button for the mouthpiece, along with a LED light for the insertion of the mouthpiece and a USB PC connection.

One of the most frustrating and costly aspects of workplace drug testing is the high incidence of rejected specimens due to errors at the collection site. As a certified collection facility staffed with well-trained collectors, we can assure our clients that Lake Region Healthcare maintains a minimal number of rejected specimens, thereby saving everyone time and resources.

Authorization form

We must have a completed and signed employer authorization form for any patient coming to Lake Region Healthcare's lab for drug urine screening or breath alcohol testing. This authorization form—completed and signed—is crucial: We cannot treat patients without it.
